Using the Law of Attraction - Be Consistent
By Anita Stoudmire
Since the introduction of the Law of Attraction to a worldwide audience by the movie “The Secret” in 2006, many have tried to use the principles that were seen in the movie and have not achieved the results they want! This has caused an outcry of sorts about the Law of Attraction being another “fad” and not a good way to pursue your goals! Some critics have said that a person will not have the life of their dreams by just sitting around and thinking positively about the things they want. I would agree with them on that. When you look at the word “attraction”, you will see the word “action” within it! Action on the part of the user is ABSOLUTELY necessary to creating the life you want and deserve! More important though is that you use the principles consistently! No one ever created a masterpiece of art or music by waking up one day and without any consistent practice just wrote a Beethoven’s Fifth symphony or painted the Mona Lisa! These artists were great because they consistently practiced their craft day in and day out and these masterpieces are the culmination of such practice.
When it comes to using the Law of Attraction, it is no different. You must use the principles day in and day out to really see results. This can be the hardest part of teaching people to create their life with the Law of Attraction. When it comes to breaking negative habits that we have, the same applies; we must practice the more positive habit everyday so that we can replace the bad habit! All of our negative habits are just that, habits or ways of doing something that we do over and over, day in and day out! But when we are consistent in our new practices, like eating healthier, or not smoking after meals, or keeping our thoughts positive and upbeat, then we will see positive results from our positive actions. The more consistent we are, the quicker we will see results! It is always a good idea to practice patience with ourselves as we are being consistent and developing new habits. Don’t beat yourself up, just get back on track with your positive habit and don’t give up! Just as was described in the movie “The Secret” when James Arthur Ray said that many who have tried to use the Law of Attraction after so many days or weeks of not seeing results (and just as results are about to surface!) they say “This stuff doesn’t work!” and the energy goes back down! I am often asked by people that I coach “How long will it take to see results; how long to get the house, the car, the mate, the money? How long do I have to keep doing this?” I often tell them “Until”, and they say “Until what?” and I answer “Until you see results!”
There really are no guidelines on how long it will take for you to manifest the things that you desire. What is absolutely necessary is your commitment to practicing the principles of the Law of Attraction each and every day! The Law of Attraction has been around for thousands of years and has been used by the most successful people that have ever lived. Each and every one of us has the ability to create a life that we want and deserve but we must be committed to being consistent with our vision and our actions toward it. When you have a passion for something and you're committed towards a goal, it becomes easier to be consistent in pursuing that goal each and every day. That is why I often tell people to pursue what they are most passionate about! This will give you the drive that you need to stay on the course toward your goal. I encourage you to start small with regards to changing a negative habit and just remain consistent in making changes every day. You will be astounded by the results that you will begin to see!
